How Karl Fitzpatrick walks the line at Warrington Wolves

The latest Fan Engagement Pod speaks with one of the best at navigating the line between Fan Engagement as audience engagement and stakeholder engagement, Karl Fitzpatrick, CEO of Rugby League Club Warrington Wolves.

Karl is someone who has made waves in the four years since becoming CEO, but has made it his mission to create entertainment on the pitch, whilst understanding that fans need a sense of belonging. He’s also someone who isn’t fearful of admitting his mistakes and learning from it.

Although the club lost in their first Super League playoff match against Hull FC, Karl has overseen a transformation of their fortunes since taking over, including acquiring major front of shirt sponsors, Hoover, rising gates, a growth in community presence, and a profile that belies their status as a second-tier sport in a football region.

Karl is one of the most impressive interviewees on the Pod, and we think anyone in any sport can learn from his tactics, delivery and leadership.
