An in-depth understanding of both ‘sides’ of the fence – both clubs and fans, acquired through direct experience, and through learning and professional training from inside and outside the industry.
Founder of Fan Insights, Kevin Rye, has for years advised clubs and those running the game on their relationships with fans, and helped established and oversee the supporters’ trust and wider fan-network across English – and also European – football. He worked his way up at Supporters Direct/SD Europe, eventually becoming Head of Policy and PR. Much of the modern practice and language of engagement and collaboration between clubs and fans came about because of the work of Kevin and his colleagues.
As a new idea in football, it’s important that fan engagement is shaped the right way for the game, and for each club itself.
